This week Adrian talks about solitude and the positive possibility it could be in our lives. He wonders how it could fit in such a busy life and discovers the pace of the Lord. BIBLE READING Luke 6:12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. Matthew 14:13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Matthew 14:23 After Jesus had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone. Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 6:31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” Psalm 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
